ATTENDANCE
Girls in Sports aims to encourage and inspire all young people with the focus on girls creating long-term changes that lead to more positive conduct, stronger academic performance and healthy social development across the board, allowing girls to develop a positive relationship with body confidence and self-esteem through sports, so attending the program is very important as it can allow these young people to develop key skills and become better versions of themselves.
PUNCTUALITY
Good time-keeping is a vital skill for life. Being on time can help a young person remain calm, relaxed and happy within the program, so it is important that young people maintain good punctuality and attendance.
Information and news for the day. Late-arriving young people can disrupt a program which can also be embarrassing for the young person which can then encourage absence.
Start and end times may differ according to program the young person attends. Timings are made exceptionally clear to families and young people.
It is essential that pupils arriving and leaving the program with a parent outside the normal program hours are signed in and out. These records are used in the case of fire/emergency. If a young person has a persistent late record their parents/ carers may have to meet with the program director to resolve the problem. However, parents & carers can approach us at any time if they are having problems getting their child to the program on time.
We encourage good punctuality by being good role models to our young people and celebrating good individual and program punctuality
ILLNESS AND MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS
Every effort should be made to arrange medical appointments outside program hours, where the program should be notified of these appointments in advance. If it is necessary for a young person to be out of the program for this reason, the young person should be returned to the program directly after the appointment.
Long-term standing medical conditions need to be reviewed and monitored with evidence to a program director.
