GIS DIVERSE EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Girls In Sports DEEP impact initiative is focused on KS4 girls and boys who are vulnerable young people, with complex needs.
The programme looks at and reduce the level of exclusions and re-offending young people. The DEEP programme is linked directly to the schools Improvement Plan (AIP) .
This is a 10wks programme, at the end of which identified young people will be assessed using a series of measurable data collected throughout the programme. The will involve;
This program caters to a cohort of 15young people at a time and it is delivered within the schools at an hour and a half weekly. Two program leaders will deliver and be the link program managers for the school. All young people part of the DEEP program have access to our Weekend Sports Academy.

This is a 10wks programme, at the end of which identified young people will be assessed using a series of measurable data collected throughout the programme. The will involve;
- Identify young people attend weekly intervention workshops with GIS Program Leader on personal goals, behaviour and anger management, life skills and future paths.
- Identified young people receive weekly drop-in catchup sessions with linked SLT, who will help them focus on set targets on their personal and attainment goals.
- Identified young people will have by weekly offsite or onsite professional visits to organisations/ companies for future paths developments.
- Two community cohesion parental meetings with identified young people where progress and attainment will be discussed, but also team intervention training sessions with parents.
- Identified young people will have three attainable opportunities to audit their own progress against the identified targets and standards set with Pastoral Managers, parents and SLT mentors.
- End of programme assessment, where identified students will be observed in lessons. They will also be given the opportunity to give meaningful feedback to the parents, pastoral manager, and scrutinised by a panel of SLT mentors to prove their own progress and successes.
