Girls In Sports Foundation, Ladies In Sports Nigeria has come together to support the work of Samburu Girls Foundation. This mission for our organizations is to raise the profile of Samburu Girls Foundation in the UK and across Africa, share good practice of work and also the fundraise to support the hundreds of young girls that are rescued daily in Kenya from FGM, child marriages and beading.
SGF is a Kenyan non-profit that rescues girls from Child-Marriage, Beading and FGM? Over 1200 girls have been rescued and 363 are currently being sponsored in schools around the country. The organization was registered as an NGO in October 2011. Its head office is based at Loosuk Center, Samburu County, and works in 4 counties namely, Marsabit, Samburu, Laikipia and Isiolo.
Founded by Josephine Kulea, the organization advocates against Harmful Cultural Practices and builds futures for the girls, creating agents of change in the community by taking them to school.

Mission
To make the world a better and safer place for pastoralist girls in Kenya through the provision of life opportunities and psychosocial care, free from the harmful and retrogressive cultural practices of FGM, Child marriage and Beading.
The Programs of Samburu Foundation
We offer the girls a safe place to live in and gradually re-attach them to their families systematically to ensure they are not separated with their families forever but still ensure safety from the harmful traditional practices. Education We educate the girls from primary to tertiary education levels as well as provide supplementary schooling for older girls who have not been in school. This is done through the accelerator education program. Community Outreach Through our ‘Schools End FGM’ programme and ‘Under the Tree community conversations’ we educate the community on harmful cultural practices and their implications.
